What it means
The function failed while handling the request, for example because its runtime process crashed or the code threw an error that nothing caught, so Vercel returned 500 Internal Server Error.
The usual cause in an AI-built app
The app works in the builder's preview, but on Vercel an environment variable the AI code reads, such as a Supabase URL or a Stripe key, was never added, so the function throws as soon as it runs.
