What it means
The token could be read, but its claims did not pass validation, for example because it has expired. The API rejects the request with HTTP 401.
The usual cause in an AI-built app
AI code sometimes copies the access token into its own variable or local storage once and keeps sending it, instead of letting the Supabase client refresh the session, so requests start failing when the token expires.
Check this first
Search your code for places that set the Authorization header by hand, and make sure each one reads the current session from the Supabase client right before the request.
